Betty Krinke Obituary
Betty Krinke

1928 ~ 2012
Betty Hanson Krinke, 83 years old died on July 29, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at home, surrounded by her family. A viewing will be held Friday, August 3, at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Christian Assembly, 300 East 8000 South, Sandy, Utah. Betty was born on December 5, 1928 at Fargo, North Dakota. She was raised and educated at the Mary Hanson Family home at Carson, North Dakota and later at the C.L. Woodbury home. She attended Dickenson State College and the University of Utah where she received her Bachelors degree, later earned her Master's degree at University of the Pacific in northern California. Her teaching career began in a small rural school in Lark, North Dakota, she then taught at Thain, North Dakota and in Roosevelt School in Carson, North Dakota. She later taught for 12 years in Modesto and Ceres, California. Betty married Vern Krinke of Haley, North Dakota, and together they had 8 children. Betty is survived by 7 of her children, Glen (Robin), Mari (Dan) Stilinovich, Barbara Woolf, Jane (Jeffrey) Gershman, Lise Cappaert, John and Grant and one sister, Jackie Potter. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby Woodbury, by her husband Vern, and by a son, Hjalmar Krinke. Mom leaves a big family including 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Our beloved mother was a devout Christian and a lifelong teacher who taught her family to love the Lord. She was a lifelong supporter of a number of Christian churches and schools. Mom was fiercely independent, hard-working and thrifty and managed to create the circumstances for herself to depart this life in exactly the way she chose. The family wishes to thank physicians and staff at Saint Mark's Hospital ICU and other units, and are especially grateful to the home health care, and home nursing services and hospice services for their superior care and compassion for our mom. Funeral arrangements by Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale, Utah. Condolences and tributes online at http://betty-krinke.memory-of.com. In lieu of flowers please donate in Mom's name to your church's charitable works fund. www.goffmortuary.com
Psalms 108:1-3
O God, my heart is fixed, I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people; and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
